Boulders,Bikes and Beaches

ON BOURNES POND

EAST FALMOUTH,,MASSACHUSETTS

EAST FALMOUTH ON CAPE COD

MENAUHANT BEACH ON VINEYARD SOUND IN EAST FALMOUTH

WARM SALT WATER BEACH IN EAST FALMOUTH
The Beach Department,Superintendent and Falmouth DPW did an amazing job transforming Menauhant Beach  in East Falmouth from a pothole filled parking lot and a beach with gullies obstrucitng walking into a beautiful well maintained beach.  Now if the Conservation Department would stop hauling in gigantic boulders which prevents access to the beach by walkers on the Central Avenue side and the Davisville side.   Some of the large rocks get washed into the water causing hazards when we're swimming too.  All the gigantic boulders are imported from the mainland and should not be on Cape beaches.  They are a hazzard as the spelling on the No Swimming Hazzard signs at Menauhant Beach state. Soon the exposed pier pilings will be removed.  In August the Superintendent will be allowed by the State Environmental Department to add sand to the beach.  Also hopefully there will be removal of sand that is clogging Bournes Pond.  There were 50 clammers on the pond every day on the last weekend of June.   Sand dredging which has been done at every other pond on Vineyard Sound will greatly improve the water in Bournes Pond.

East Falmouth is a beautiful place in spite of the fact that we have garages on our former cranberry bog flowing right into Bournes Pond,no bike paths, numerous Section 8 and low rent buildings and homes, various lumber yards, paint stores, used car lots and other service centers and little town money or interest in beautifying our community which is the entrance way to Falmouth from Mashpee and beyond.  All our tax money is spent in Falmouth Village beautification right around City Hall and on the Shining Sea Bike Path.  The taxpayers of East Falmouth swim, bike and appreciate beauty too. Please give the Beach Superintendent sufficient funds to be spent on our side of town too.  Be sure to remove as many of those imported large boulders as possible especially on the beach and in the water.  Many low income people in East Falmouth bike to work.  Many of the roads are not safe for bicycling.

Behind THe Eight Ball

I guess that's a bad position.  That means you are sunk and going down the pocket with the useless 8 ball.  You can tell how many times I've played pool.  I've heard the expression behind the 8 ball 100 times.  I'm not sure what it means.  But my Google horoscope guru says beware-Plan things out or you'll be surprised-how unLibran.  We Librans follow the flow.
Thou shalt not kill is going the wayside in commandments just like Thou shall not commit adultery.  In Florida if threatened we can shoot and ask questions later.  You won't even be arrested.  So shooting is ok now.  People talk of executing others for disgusting evil crimes instead of putting them on trial.  It's the new millenium:  Everyone is packing.

LET GO AND KICK BACK

NOW THOSE ARE WORDS TO LIVE BY.  I WENT TO THE BEACH YESTERDAY.  IT'S EASIER NOW TO DRIVE THE 11 MILES FROM TITUSVILLE TO PLAYALINDA BEACH BECAUSE  MY NEW CAR HAS AC.  I SAW A FEW ROSEATED SPOONBILLS ALONG THE WAY.  I JUST PUT MY FEET IN THE OCEAN EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ROASTY TOASTY.  WHEN I CAME HOME I SWAM IN THE RECYCLED WATER OF MY POOL.  HMMMM!

SHARING IS CARING

FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD-THAT'S THE ANSWER!
  WHAT'S THE QUESTION?
KEEP YOUR PROBLEMS IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR
Thank you for sharing.  I'm not sure what to do.  I decide and then do the opposite.  I guess I'm in a state of confusion.  I'm supposed to express these concerns.  I wanted to during the Yankee - Angels game last night.  But first the 6ft7 star pitcher Weaver got hurt in the first or second inning.  Then Swisher and Granderson collided in the outfield.  Then Texeira hit a homer.  The score was always close.  I went to bed at midnight and the California game was still not over.  There are no fat ladies in LA to sing.  So I guess it never got over.  It was not the time to confide my worries.  I forgot the Cardinal Rule of Life:  There is nothing more important than baseball.
UPDATE:  TRUMBO HIT A HOME RUN IN THE NINTH AND THE YANKEES LOST.
